How this site is funded, who we earn from, and why the commission structure works against the recommendations we actually make.
Sweep & Suction earns a commission when you buy through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you click from here or go to the retailer directly. Commission never affects what we recommend or the order we recommend it in.
The Amazon Associates statement
Sweep & Suction is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
How the links work
Every commercial link on this site passes through a redirect on our own domain before it reaches the retailer. That redirect adds our affiliate tag and sends you on. Three things are worth knowing about it:
- It does not change the price. The tag identifies the referrer; it has no effect on what the retailer charges you.
- It is marked. Every one carries `rel="sponsored nofollow"`, which is how search engines are told the link is commercial, and every buy control on this site displays an `#ad` marker.
- It is a redirect, not a tracker of you. We record that a click happened and which page it came from, in aggregate analytics. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell anything about you. The privacy policy covers this properly.

If that changes, this table changes with it. A link to any retailer not listed as earning is a plain link that pays us nothing, and the page will say so where such a link appears.
That is the complete list. We are not in any manufacturer's affiliate program — not Shark's, not Bissell's, not Hoover's, not Dyson's, not Roborock's. Where a product is not available through a retailer we earn from, we say so on the page and link anyway, because sending you to the right machine matters more than being paid for it.
Why the conflict runs backwards here
This is worth stating because most disclosure pages skip it. Affiliate commission scales with price. A site that recommends a $700 flagship earns several times what a site recommending a $150 machine earns from the same reader.
Sweep & Suction is built around budget picks, which means our recommendations systematically earn us less than the alternative would. We think that is worth telling you, because it is the clearest evidence available that the rankings are not being set by the commission.
What commission does not buy
- A place in a ranking. Order is set from published specifications before any link is built.
- A better score. The rubric is applied to spec sheets and nothing else.
- Silence about a flaw. Every ranking names at least one machine to skip, and every product entry carries a "skip it if" that we wrote.
- A recommendation to buy at all. Several pages on this site conclude that renting, keeping what you have, or buying nothing is the right answer.
Prices
Prices shown on this site come from a live lookup against the retailer and carry the date they were verified. A price older than 48 hours is not displayed at all — the buy control falls back to "Check price", which is honest rather than approximate.
Prices change constantly and we do not control them. The retailer's page at the moment you arrive is always the authority, and nothing on this site should be treated as a quote.

Every one carries rel="sponsored nofollow", every buy control displays an #ad marker and a link to this page, and a short disclosure appears above the first commercial link on any page that has one.
Are the prices on this site guaranteed?
No. Prices come from a live lookup and carry the date they were verified; anything older than 48 hours is not shown at all. The retailer's page at the moment you arrive is always the authority.
