What the content here is, what it is not, and the limits you should read it within.
Sweep & Suction publishes editorial opinion based on manufacturer-published specifications. We do not test the products, we do not sell anything, and nothing here is a guarantee about a product's performance, a price, or its suitability for your home.

We do not test the products
Every recommendation on this site is derived from specifications the manufacturer published, plus arithmetic we performed on those figures. We have not used these machines. Every product page states this, our method page states it, and it is a limitation you should factor into how much weight you give anything here.
Where a manufacturer publishes a performance claim, we report it as that manufacturer's claim. We do not independently verify manufacturers' claims and we do not represent that they are accurate.
Prices
Prices shown here come from a live lookup against the retailer and carry the date they were verified. Anything older than 48 hours is not displayed at all. Prices change constantly, we do not control them, and the retailer's own page at the moment you arrive is always the authority. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a quotation.
Affiliate relationships
We earn commission on qualifying purchases made through links here, at no extra cost to you. Any purchase you make happens on the retailer's site, under the retailer's terms, and we are not a party to it. The affiliate disclosure sets out the relationships in full.
Product safety and suitability
Guidance here about which surfaces a machine is rated for is quoted from that manufacturer's published rating. It is not advice about your specific floor. Flooring warranties vary, finishes vary, and some flooring warranties exclude steam cleaning regardless of what a mop is rated for.
Always follow the manual supplied with your appliance and the guidance supplied with your flooring. Where the two conflict with anything on this site, they win.
Limitation of liability
The content here is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from any purchase decision informed by it. Your recourse in relation to a product lies with its manufacturer and the retailer who sold it to you.
Intellectual property
The text, tables, analysis and design on this site are ours. Product names, model numbers and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively — no affiliation with or endorsement by any manufacturer is claimed or implied. Product photography is supplied by the retailer's catalog. Editorial photography is licensed stock.
You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back. Republishing whole pages, or reproducing our running-cost tables as if they were your own work, is not permitted.

Is the information on this site guaranteed to be accurate?
No. We report manufacturers' published figures accurately and date them, but we do not independently verify those figures and we do not test the products. Everything here is editorial opinion informed by published specifications.
Are the prices on this site a quotation?
No. They come from a live lookup, carry the date they were verified, and are not shown at all past 48 hours. The retailer's own page at the moment you arrive is always the authority.
Can I rely on your surface guidance for my floor?
Only as a summary of what each machine's manufacturer publishes. Your flooring's own warranty documentation is the authority for your specific floor, and some flooring warranties exclude steam entirely.
Can I republish your tables or articles?
A short quote with a link back is welcome. Republishing whole pages, or reproducing our running-cost tables as your own work, is not permitted.
