Privacy policy
Short, because we collect very little. No accounts, no newsletter, no advertising profile — analytics and affiliate links, and that is the list.
We do not ask you for anything except when you email us. There is no account, no login, no newsletter and no comment system. What we do run is standard web analytics, and affiliate links that identify us as the referrer when you click through to a retailer.
Who we are
Sweep & Suction is published by Slate Mill Group. Questions about anything on this page go to info@sweepandsuction.com, which is the only contact address for the site.

What we do not collect
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No newsletter. We do not have a mailing list.
- No comments. No user-generated content of any kind.
- No payment information, ever. We do not sell anything. Every purchase happens on the retailer's own site under their terms.
- No cross-site advertising profile. We run no display advertising and no retargeting pixels.
- Nothing is sold or rented. We do not sell, rent or trade anything about you to anyone.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which are ignored. It records page views, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and referral source, and it sets cookies to do so. Google is the data processor for that and its own privacy terms apply to what it holds.
We also fire one custom event when a buy link is clicked, recording the merchant, the destination and the page it came from. That is how we know which pages genuinely help readers, since the retailer's own reporting cannot tell one page of ours from another. It records the click, not you.
You can block all of this with a browser extension or by disabling cookies, and the site works exactly the same way if you do. Nothing here is gated behind analytics.
Affiliate links
Commercial links pass through a redirect on our own domain, which adds our affiliate tag and forwards you to the retailer. The retailer then uses their own cookie to attribute a purchase to us. That cookie is theirs, set on their domain, under their privacy policy — Amazon's, in every current case.
It does not change your price. The affiliate disclosure covers the commercial side in full.

This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no login, no session and no preference to remember.
How long we keep things
- Contact emails are kept as long as the conversation is useful and then deleted. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
- Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics' own retention settings.
- Rate-limiting IP data is held in server memory only and disappears when the process restarts. It is never written to disk.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to processing. In practice we hold very little: unless you have emailed us, we hold nothing that identifies you. Email info@sweepandsuction.com and we will act on any such request.
Children
This site is intended for adults buying household appliances. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and there is no mechanism here through which a child could provide any.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page and describe the change. This version is dated September 1, 2026.

Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, rent or trade anything about you to anyone, and we run no display advertising or retargeting pixels.
What cookies does this site set?
None of its own. Google Analytics sets cookies for aggregate analytics, and the retailer sets an affiliate cookie on their own domain when you click through. The site has no login and no preferences to remember.
Can I use the site without analytics?
Yes. Block it with an extension or disable cookies and everything works identically. Nothing here is gated behind analytics.
What happens to my contact form message?
It is emailed to us via Microsoft Graph and kept for as long as the conversation is useful, then deleted. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Do you store my IP address?
Only in memory, briefly, for contact form rate limiting. It is never written to disk and it disappears when the process restarts.
